Intelligent Robots: An Evening with Penn Professor Daniel Lee

* Co-Sponsored with the Penn Club of Seattle *

Today, we have machines that can easily beat us in intellectual pursuits such as chess and Jeopardy. But machines are still unable to help us do the laundry or wash our dishes.

Join the Penn Club of Seattle at the Belltown Community Center for an evening with Penn professor Daniel Lee '90, who will discuss some of the latest research on intelligent robots at Penn, including getting robots to drive carsplay soccer, and perform rescue missions.

Dr. Lee is a professor in the Deptartment of Electrical and Systems Engineering and the director of the GRASP (General Robotics Automation, Sensing, Perception) Lab. Check out his interview on The Colbert Report and a video of the GRASP lab's robot quadrotors performing the James Bond theme.

The evening will consist of Dr. Lee's presentation, a Q&A session, and networking. Refreshments will be provided. Children are welcome to attend with their parents. The Penn Club of Seattle has graciously extended member pricing to the Harvard Club (simply select "Penn Club of Seattle Members" when registering here).
