Candidate: Gautham Reddy '85

I remember fondly my years at Harvard, and I want to contribute to the dynamic university community that I love. I have been fortunate to get to know many of you, and my goal is to engage alumni of all backgrounds, interests, and ages, from all of Harvard’s schools.

Our club has accomplished much in recent years.
As Schools Committee co-chair since 2011, I have worked with Ike Eisenhart to lead 200 volunteers who interview 500 students annually; we have focused on increasing our admissions rate and yield and on recruiting and training dedicated interviewers. I co-chaired the Programs Committee from 2011-2014; we conducted a membership survey, diversified events, and doubled the number of programs to 40 annually.

We can do more.
As co-VP, I have become familiar with the club’s strengths and our opportunities for growth and improvement. My vision for the club is to bring alumni together by increasing networking and mentorship, community service, and family-friendly events. I want to broaden our pool of talented leaders.

I’d like to lead us forward.
My approach to leadership is collaborative, and I strive to listen. I bring energy and enthusiasm to any role I undertake, and I value innovation.

When I was president of the Harvard Club of San Francisco, our team revamped operations, tripled membership, doubled the number of events, and diversified our leadership. We subsequently received an HAA award. I have served on the HAA Board of Directors Clubs Committee and spoken at the Alumni Leadership Conference, sharing best practices with other Harvard Clubs.

My experience includes service on four nonprofit boards. I am a past president of two professional societies and president-elect of a third.

I would be honored to serve as president of the Harvard Club of Seattle, and I would appreciate your vote. Thank you.
