Seattle Opera presents Porgy & Bess  LAST TICKET!

Join the Harvard Club of Seattle for a performance of Gershwin's American operatic masterpiece. Connect with fellow alumni in our private reception room at intermission.

A vibrant mix of humor, romance, struggle, and celebration, Gershwin's controversial masterpiece—widely considered the greatest American opera—introduces jazz and folk to an art form long considered exclusively European. Set in Catfish Row, a fictitious African-American community in 1930s South Carolina, Seattle Opera's Porgy & Bess is brought to life by "a brilliant cast that breaks through stereotypes" and inspires audiences with deeply felt renditions of beloved songs like Summertime and I Got Plenty O' Nuttin'.
