About Rachel Lee Priday:
Rachel Lee Priday is an international violin soloist, chamber musician, and educator known for her expressive musicianship and technical command. She has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras in the United States and abroad, including the Chicago, Houston, National, St. Louis, and Seattle Symphony Orchestras, the Boston Pops, and Germany’s Staatskapelle Berlin, and has performed in leading venues such as Lincoln Center, the Louvre, Ravinia, and the Verbier Festival.
Deeply committed to new music and collaboration, Priday has premiered and commissioned works by a wide range of contemporary composers and has been active in international cultural exchange projects, including work across the U.S., Asia, and Africa. Her recent highlights include concerto performances throughout the U.S. and tours in South Africa, Europe, and Asia.
A graduate of Harvard College, Priday also holds a master’s degree from the New England Conservatory. She studied at Juilliard with Dorothy DeLay and other distinguished mentors and is currently Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of Washington School of Music.
