WA State Capitol & Campus Tour + Olympia Farmers Market

We invite all Harvard and IvyPlus alumni to join us for history, food, and socializing in Olympia, WA!

  

Karen Fraser, our Capitol tour guide, is a retired Washington State Senator from the Olympia area who served 28 years in the legislature - 24 in the Senate and 4 in the House

  

In the Senate, she held several major leadership positions:

Chair of Capital Budget; Chair of Environment, Energy, and Water Committees; Chair of Senate-House Public Pensions Committee; Senate Democratic Caucus; Senate Administrative Committee.

  

Additionally, Karen is a Member, and former Chair, of the Board of Trustees of The Evergreen State College, in Olympia, Former Adjunct Faculty in Master of Public Administration Program, Former WA State Representative, Thurston County Commissioner, President of the WA State Assn. of Counties, and Lacey Mayor and City Council Member.

  

Her husband, now deceased, was a Harvard Law School grad.

  

Olympia Farmers Market is where folks can find live music, lunch, baked bread, smoked salmon, produce, arts and crafts, flowers, etc, and a waterfront boardwalk!

  

Olympia, WA is about a 1.5 hour drive from Seattle
