Bringing Neuroscience to the World:
Interactive and Hands-on Learning in a Global Online Course

Professor David Cox, whose HarvardX for Alumni segment focuses on neuroscience, will discuss features of a recent course (which attracted over 51,000 students!) that pushes the bounds of what is traditionally done in online learning, including immersive, highly interactive web-based tutoring, interaction with rich simulations on neurons and brains, and hands-on do-it-yourself experiments, in which students can see neuroscience first-hand, using inexpensive lab kits.

Professor Cox will join us in Seattle at the Mayflower Park Hotel to discuss his work on neuroscience and how our nervous system and networks enable every part of our human experience. We encourage participants to view his online video available from Mar. 22 - Apr. 4. Light appetizers will be served. Please come and enjoy!
