About Mary's Place:

Mary's Place is a nonprofit that brings children and families experiencing homelessness inside, together, to safety, stability, and hope. We provide nearly 600 beds for moms, dads, and children across King County, but despite increases in services and capacity, hundreds of families remain unsheltered in our community. The support of the community keeps our doors open. Since 1999, Mary’s Place has helped hundreds of women, children and families move out of homelessness into more stable situations. Each person that finds housing is ultimately responsible for his or her accomplishment, but often a community of support, education, and advocacy has helped along the way.

The Family Center at Burien is the first permanent home for Mary’s Place.  It opened August of 2018 and was formerly a recovery center and houses 211 family members. This site offers guest services like Kids Club, Mary’s Marketplace, a health clinic, Popsicle Place, housing/employment, meals and laundry facilities.
